James Shields Statue

This statue of James Shields was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Illinois in 1893. Shields is the only senator to have represented three states in the U.S. Senate (Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri).

Jason Lee Statue

This statue of Jason Lee was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Oregon in 1953.

Jeannette Rankin Statue

This statue of Jeannette Rankin was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Montana in 1985. She was the first woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Jefferson Davis Statue

This statue of Jefferson Davis was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Mississippi in 1931. Davis served the nation in many positions before being appointed president of the Confederate States during the Civil War, including Secretary of War, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and a member of the U.S. Senate.

John Burke Statue

This statue of John Burke was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by North Dakota in 1963. Burke served as governor of North Dakota from 1907 to 1913 before becoming treasurer of the United States.

John Caldwell Calhoun Statue

This statue of John Caldwell Calhoun was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by South Carolina in 1910. Calhoun served as Vice President of the United States under Presidents John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson.

John E. Kenna Statue

This statue of John E. Kenna was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by West Virginia in 1901.

John Gorrie Statue

This statue of John Gorrie was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Florida in 1914. A physician, scientist, inventor and humanitarian, Gorrie is considered the father of refrigeration and air-conditioning.
